You Are Royalty -Archbishop Benson Idahosa

When Christianity is reduced to just another religion, it is not very different. The “religion” which pharisaical tradition has formed from Christianity is rooted in pious, medieval theology and has lost its good news.

Is it logical for true believers in God and in the Bible to bow in hopeless submission to demoralizing and depressing conditions? Can that increase spiritual qualities? Religion seems to inevitably exact some kind of contrition or self-reproach of its adherents.

God believes in you, values you and esteems you so highly that He created you just a little lower than Himself, then decked your world with every conceivable treasures and beauty for your health, happiness, success and fulfillment. He created this fabulous world to be utilized by those  whom He created in His own image.

Is it a generally accepted idea that humanity has sinned, therefore people must now pay for their transgressions by physical suffering, deprivation and the indignities of impoverishment?

The Bible is clear about the fruits of sin. But the good news is that God never quit on us, even when we blundered. Rather, He was so fond of us that He gave His Son to redeem us from our sins  by suffering our punishment, in our name – so  that we may be free forever of all guilt, condemnation and judgment.

If we must continue to cower, to suffer, to accept inferiority and to live in self reproach, then the death of Jesus Christ is of little benefit to us while we live in this earth.

Archaic theology misses the point of the good news. The Bible message is to lift people instead of to put them down. It announces forgiveness instead of condemnation. It helps people discover the good life of health, happiness, success and self-esteem, instead of berating them as Joshua Liebman says “most Western religions do: Atone you miserable human worm! Smite yourself with the rod of punishment. Lacerate your guilty soul… else you be not worthy of the sight of God.”

When I was young, I had a profound spiritual experience during a period of prayers for God’s guidance. In a remarkable way, the Lord said to me, "you can have a rich and successful ministry in Nigeria and the world, you will prosper materially and enjoy life’s richest and best. I created it, and it is my will for you to enjoy earth’s material abundance as well as my spiritual success in unlimited form, or, you may not aspire to material wealth, but you may go and share my abundance with the people of the world, if you do this you will manage millions of dollars for the good of millions of people worldwide, and you will still live like royalty and have everything you ever desire."

The later was the road I chose. Every material blessing entrusted to me has been devoted to help people around the world to discover God’s goodness. My life has been dedicated to go to the world. Huts, cabins, motels and hotels have been my mansions. Taxis, trains, boats, ships and planes have been my chariots. Market places, shade trees, sidewalk stalls, cafes and restaurants have been my banquet halls. The landscapes, hillsides, deserts, rivers, parks and colourful beauty around the world have been my private gardens. The blue sky and the star-spangled canopy of the heavens have constituted my cathedral for teaching the masses. I am royalty. I am rich. My wealth is inside me, and nothing on this earth can take away the lifestyle of dignity, divine royalty and self esteem from me.

God wants you liberated from all limitations imposed upon you by any person, condition or system. You need nobody’s permission to be healthy, wealthy, happy and successful. God wants to free your wings of desire so they can lift you to new frontiers and new fortunes.

God has only one idea about you, and He has never changed His mind. His idea is: To share His life and His abilities with you, to make you happy, healthy, talented and prosperous, to make you into a super human person.

Jesus summed up His Father’s will for You when He said, "….I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

As your wings of desire are freed to soar, you will discover fresh new faith blossoming in you for GOOD things, HAPPY times, HEALTY living. BIG dreams- abundance, success, contentment.
