Stuck In The Sixth Hour -Bishop FEB Idahosa

Though you might be stuck in the sixth hour, but God will come to you in the seventh hour and pull you out from where you are stuck and take you to where you need to be.

In the bible the number seven signifies perfection, it signifies completion and it signifies sanctification. God’s creation of the earth was complete on the seventh day when He rested. Seven is shown all through the bible. It is impossible to miss the number seven in the bible.

God laid the foundation of the meaning of ‘seven’ when on the seventh day in Genesis 2, He finished the work of creation. Genesis 2:2-3 says, “2 and on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.   3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it:  because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made”.

Throughout the bible we hear of the number seven over and over. We hear of seven feasts in the bible. Seven angels are spoken about in the bible. The bible also speaks of the seven elders and the seven churches in the book of revelation. In the book of Psalms the bible says the word of God is purified seven times.

The number seven was used in the beginning to signify the finished works of creation and it is also used in the book of revelation to signify how God will finish time. Revelation 10:7 says, “But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets”.

The number seven is symbolic. Number seven symbolises perfection and number six symbolises imperfection. Jesus was on the cross of cavalry for six hours. He suffered for six hours: from the point when He was beaten, hung on the cross and when He said it is finished was six hours. At the end of six hours, He put His head down and died; six hours He suffered and died. The seventh hour on Sunday morning was when He resurrected from the dead. His resurrection on the seventh hour gave us life, victory and perfection.

The sixth hour experience is what most people go through. They see themselves suffering; dealing with pressures and pains. They see their life filled with so many challenges and situations that don’t make sense to them. You might be in that same situation now; you think that God has forsaken you. You have prayed and prayed, but the situation is still there. You have worked and done all you can, but nothing seems to change. You have given your tithe and offering, but your financial situation is still very bad and you see yourself still waiting for your seventh hour of change.

You have done all you can to get out of your sixth hour of pain, but you are still stuck there. The sixth hour is a real terrible and painful place to be. It is never a sweet experience to be stuck in the sixth hour. In the sixth hour many people always run out of strength, power and all they need to get to the next point of their life. At this point you struggle, you fast, you pray and pay your tithe, but you are still where you are without a change.

We do so many things to move God’s hand in the sixth hour, but the truth is that God is not moved by your worries or efforts; God is only moved by your faith. God’s hand is moved when your time of favour comes.

If you feel stuck in the sixth hour, God will arise and take you to your seventh hour. He will pull you out of your sixth hour into your seventh hour of perfection, completion and sanctification. You might be stuck in sickness, poverty, debts grief, but God is bringing you out into the seventh hour of prosperity, health and joy.

You may have lost hope. You may feel that you are at the end of your rope, but God is saying that the end of your rope is the beginning of His hope. Don’t feel you cannot make it. God is with you to help you. Some of you might have lost your jobs and you think that is the end, but that is not the end, God will make a way for you.

Some of you are going through tough and trying times, but God will pull you out and you will rejoice. God will pull you off, where you feel you have been stuck and He will give you good news. Many people will come and celebrate with you.

After six hours Jesus died and it seems all hope was lost. The disciples were confused and full of grief, their helper was gone. They felt lonely and helpless. You also may feel lonely and helpless because all help and helpers are gone, but remember that God is always with you. God will never forget you. You are engraved in the palm of His hands, you are constantly before Him. You are the apple of His eyes. He loves you. You are precious to Him.

When it was time for Christ to rise, He rose up victoriously. No stone or grave could hold Him back. No powers beneath or above could hold Him back. In the same way when your seventh hour comes nothing can hold you back.

When Christ said it is finished on the cross, He meant your sickness, grief and sorrow was finished. Between the hours when Christ died and when He rose, He was not idle. He went to meet the devil in hell and took the keys of grave and hell from him. When Jesus took the keys from the devil, He put an end to the devil’s ownership of you. The devil no longer owns your life. You now belong to Jesus. You may be stuck in the sixth hour now and you think that God is doing nothing, but God is doing everything to bring you out. Jesus is interceding to the father on your behalf.

The sixth hour ended on Friday. On Sunday morning the seventh hour began. On Sunday morning He opened His eyes and death in the natural was defeated. He defeated every devil, sickness and poverty for you. On Sunday morning your pains and grief was taken away. On the seventh hour He rose from the dead never to die again.

Don’t give up in you sixth hour. Don’t give up when you think you have tried everything and nothing seems to have worked. Don’t give up on God because God will not give up on you. God knows your problem and He is doing all He can to bring you out. Do what God has told you to do. Don’t quit. Don’t give up.

God’s time of favour is coming. Your appointed time is coming and when your appointed time comes, nothing will stand on your way. Your seventh hour is here.
